Ah! Nice way to reverse the Nullmage Advocate ability. I'd say something about granting two creatures +2/+2... but triple mashes. They sure do drag you in three directions.
Heh. Sacrificing a Wizard does seem most random, but now that I get why you're doing it, I have a hard time imagining it not being there...
Mirari's Embrace from Gaea's Embrace, Mirari, Nullmage Advocate.
Demon of Might tried again, and got Overwhelming Knowledge. Which, uh, mashes an additional card or two, because, um.
And, yes, this is a difficult challenge. I suggest avoiding looking at the cards literally, and to only take one or two elements from each card to make your final card. Super bonus points are rewarded if you can somehow mash all three cards onto one card, then find space for a triple mash of flavor text--but that's certainly not expected.
Huh. I didn't think I could think of one; but then I did. Cloudfair Giant
Half a tree, philosophically, must ipso facto half not tree...
Annoyingly, there don't seem to be any "Treefolk Beast" etc. only Treefolk Shaman, Warrior and similar. So "Can
join your club?" jokes won't fit here. See my piteous attempt to try anyway...
Gameplaywise, this feels fair. And very flavourful.
This tells a great story, yes :)
Can it be "Equip
or tap an untapped giant creature you control"?
I like imagining the 1/1 creature having the club dropped onto it and staggering into battle :) (But I think it's reasonable that a giant can equip it to non-giant creatures, else it wouldn't be very useful.)
One last one: Halftree Club.
For Challenge # 096. I wanted to sneak a Tribal artifact in before I called it a day on this challenge. The idea here is that the Halftree Club is so massive, that it either requires paying a hefty amount of mana to equip it, or the help of a Giant.
This is pretty cool.
I'm not sure how comparable this is to Phage the Untouchable or similar, but something about that second ability makes me think there's something wrong. As in, it wins, but in the meantime it makes you lose your wish to live while the opponent decimates you. Although it has 12 power so I guess it should be quick even in bigger formats.
I may be overreacting. ^^ I like the design.
Trample, mostly. That, and there haven't been many blue giants. This could easily be a mono-blue giant clan, though.
Whoops. Six power was supposed to block him, I just wrote it wrong. I wouldn't have a real problem with five power creatures, either, but I was aiming for half Titus' power. Something about that makes sense in my head.
Wheee! Awesome :)
I think six-power creatures (maybe even five-power creatures) ought to be able to block him though. After all, most giants are only 5/5 or 6/6, and they can be blocked by 1/1s (well, some of them trample).
Bwahaha!
Not sure I see why this is green though.
Reminds me of Slumbering Dragon. This is a lot more suitable for common though.
I have observed the problem you mention in the past. I think I considered it an unavoidable consequence of the flavour, though... I hadn't thought of trying to make a one-drop Giant!
Oh yes, that's GIANT.
