It does strike me that this might be a better design if I completely removed all the bits inspired by Kiss of the Amesha. Which is something of a pity.
Plus anything X/2 or smaller it's just better to use the black ability on twice rather than the black one then the blue one...
To be honest, this seems solid for limited uncommon, assuming the set isn't chock full of counters. As you said, 8 mana for a bounce is a bit much to expect to get regularly. The counter is strong... but probably not too much crazier than Gnarled Effigy.
Excellent. Reminds me of Seer's Sundial. This costs -2, which is quite nifty, but only if you've got enough float. Very cool.
I think you made a green card. Collective Unconscious plus Inner Calm, Outer Strength :) Sortof a reversed Biomantic Mastery too.
Pretty awesome though, anyway. Might need to cast a bit more.

Nice work. Especially with the triple-mashed flavour text.
I think this could actually be quite a bit cheaper. Like 2-3 mana. It doesn't actually do anything until you have an artifact to sac or an instant or sorcery to cast, after all.

For Challenge # 097. I rolled randomly and got back 6,6,6. Then I Double checked to make sure that random.org wasn't broken. It wasn't, so that gave me Seething Song, Gibbering Kami and Soul Collector.
The obvious choice here is to make a creature that adds mana to your pool when you cast it, and combines the Kami's abilities with the Collector's. Obvious choices are boring, though, so I forced myself to make an instant/sorcery instead. Somewhere between the three cards, I kind of didn't want to add Flash to the mix, but, for power level reasons, something needed to give. The casting costs, after all, were being locked in by Gibbering Kami, and while I could have added four mana any color of mana to the mana pool, it seemed inappropriate here.
As for the flavor... I only had one flavor text to work with, so I stole a bit from Soul Collector's reminder text. Beeboop.
