Awesome card.
This doesn't need the ugly power/toughness box. (In fact, it doesn't work that way.)
Since it is usual that this will be a creature, it might be clearer if the text said "for each other creature you control named...", like Timberpack Wolf.
Which is also a funny point to raise. That one costs two mana and was green. I feel the blue one could be bigger. If it's a Hill Giant, being blue, it won't be picked as highly as the Wolf was in M13. That makes the ability more relevant, and can easily lead to a big army situation similar to what a Harbor Serpent could cause.
Interesting.
"with exactly one target" would make it clearer that you can't target something with no targets.
This is a pretty awkward card, by the way. It mentions activated abilities in a common, which many players won't know what they are. And it has a restriction that leads to disappointment (because it's very narrow) and, as far as I know, isn't about a set theme or anything.
This card is awful. Compare to Flight.
Also, the standard wording would be "can't be blocked except by creatures with flying and/or reach".
I'm pretty sure that it has to say "another Dwarf", or it will trigger itself.
An opponent can't control something that has died, so the text would have to be something like:
"You gain 2 life for each creature card put into an opponent's graveyard this turn."
or
"You gain 2 life for each creature your opponent controlled that died this turn."
Either way, there are already too many life gain cards. I think this one should be out.
Cool reference to Healer of the Pride. I'm thinking that this could count itself (so that playing two is 6 life as opposed to 2), and/or cost less. And you should probably take Sendarian Reveller out.
This has never been printed before (Lionheart Maverick was the closest). I approve.
You have to be infinitely careful with these cards. M12 had three common Griffins and Griffin Rider. It felt cool to try to make it work, because the reward was worth it.
While yours is better without a Griffin, and I appreciate that a lot, I feel the "Try hard to have a griffin" reward is just so minimal that it might as well have no ability there.
I know Lone Missionary is a little pushed, but envying Temple Acolyte is a bad place to be.
So, Lymph Sliver only for combat damage. Interesting, although that ability was a bit too powerful/annoying in general. It wouldn't pass NWO probably.
But it seems cool, so let's see how it works out.
Mmm. This seems somewhat worse than Nightguard Patrol. I guess it's a two-drop, and sure, I'd play it in Gatecrash draft, but only after I ran out of other two-drops.
Yeah I was aware of that but as this is a common I wanted to keep it simple. First Strike being both red and white, I used it for the red ability as it is a simple combat themed ability as is Vigilance.
There's color asymmetry here. Vigilance is white, while first strike is both red and white.
