The Dreadlord has been defeated and his forces all but annihilated.
The Old Valurian Empire is no more, replaced by the Republic of New Sendaria.
In the Scarwood (what was once the Lushwood), the Elves work o heal the scar to their homeland.
The Stonefast mountains are now known as the Dwarfskull Mountains and are the domain of the savage races (Giants, Minotaurs, Goblins, etc). The remaining Dwarves sit in their mighty, soliary fortress of Ironguard, nursing their wounds and grudges equally.
In the Pridelands, The Pridesmeet debates the fate of the prides, advocating a stronger coalition between the prides and determining the fate of those who were of the fourth tribe.
In the seas, the Selachi return to their ancient ways, content to continue as they have for ages. A small few however, realise they can no longer ignore the surface world and form the Wavecrest, a society dedicated to guarding the sanctity of the seas.
And finally, in the ruins of once mighty Valuria, former seat of the old empire, Salidar the Cursed and his vampiric minions ponder their future. Once creatures of the Dreadlord, they sided with the Unity Pact to bring down their former master. Salidar sits brooding on the Throne of Destiny, planning how to regain "his" empire.
