Hmm. This might need to say "up to one target artifact or enchantment", because otherwise the upkeep ability won't even trigger if there are no legal targets.
Hm, okay, I guess actually it can always target itself. I think some people would think the ability would be countered since you sacrifice it before the destroy effect.
How can Planeswalker be represented in this set? Although terrains do have some similarities from being attackable. Perhaps Mythic terrains can take their place.
negative, it'll be a new rarity, Mythic Common
Then it would be called a rare, because that's precisely the difference between those two classifications.
what if it was twice as common as other mythics?
I'd be really upset if I saw this card as a Mythic, to be honest. It's like a guaranteed $80 card that could have been a common. Lets the players with more money pull out bs wins. If it was a part of Standard, I'd stop going to tournaments.
Over at CounterWhat I reckoned the base cost on this could be even cheaper. But that'd be for the version without the built-in way around the drawback.
I think this is more interesting at
to cast,

to devise than at
to cast,
to devise (even though tournament players would far rather have the latter version - though not at mythic).
cf. Counterspell.

Hm. A fair counterpart to Confound and Hindering Light, yep. Looks good.
Should be less
The pun, it makes me groan :P
Hmm. So this is a split card between... a 0/3 for
(okay, slightly smaller than Steel Wall, reasonable) and a 1/4 flash for
. A Yotian Soldier with flash, which is a great blocker for attacking 2/1s or 3/1s.
Nice. It's a common one-drop that I'd happily play in Limited, which is quite an unusual thing. Good job.
I do wonder if the phrase "if it was devised this turn" might want to wait till set 2 though.
