Hee. So killing one thing with a Last Gasp also kills everything (that doesn't have +1/+1 counters), right?
This... is a serious upgrade on Ajani's Mantra. Personally speaking, I think that card was due for an upgrade anyway (Nyx-Fleece Ram appears to be one. Prone to creature removal, but a 0/4 is useful.) I wouldn't have thought it needed this much of an upgrade though. A single Merfolk Looter doubles the lifegain this produces, even without the scry.
On a side note: I'm not sure if the words 'one or more' do anything here. It's possible that each iteration of drawing a card will trigger this despite the wording. At the very least, I don't remember a Magic card ever saying "When you draw one or more cards". Most cards just trigger an event off of every card you draw. Anybody else know anything about this?
I don't recall. Is this an intentional pie-breaking set?
Huh; this is quite an efficient little life-gain card for blue.
actually it has been proposed at least 2 years earlier (e called it Spy and only scrys 1):

As an evergreen keyword, it doesn't have to be splashy, but merely utilitarian and not game-breaking. meanwhile blazing a new direction for evergreen keywords. the advantage of explicit keyword is then the ease of granting an evergreen to your creatures. this will facilitate a stronger identity to
and/or
themes and archetypes.
Scry is a compromise to draw a card on damage, which for unknown reasons wotc has been reluctant to keyword or print en masse. neverthelees, there is strong desire to give blue a reusable, balanced creature keyword pertaining to the library.
There has been talk of "scrystrike." I personally don't really care for it.
