:D
That is amusing and clever. It rather takes some of the fun out of it though. :P (In the same way as it's much more fun to find a Turing machine in Conway's Life than in Wireworld, it's more fun to find one in MtG than in, say, Minecraft.)
I'd be happy if they just printed a mirrored pair of pseudo-Lords, something like:
Whenever a Knight enters the battlefield under your control, put a +1/+1 counter on each Soldier.
Whenever a Demon enters the battlefield under your control, put a -1/-1 counter on each Minion.
Wouldn't this card make everything much easier? Now you could even encode the HALT state!
This makes me want to make a real card that has an effect in your closing hand.
Hahaha. Reminds me of Honden of Losing Games. Proliferate is fantastic with the other Myojin. Pity that you don't make any net saving on Captain Underscore though.
I think the real question here is how come Team Izzet hasn't invented "Dredge -1" yet. ;)
That's the point! Also, Squee won't stop you from decking out (take that Dimir), and if you can get multiple draws in a turn cycle and for some reason you'd rather have this each time than a random card off the top, you can recur Quizzy each time, which you can't do with Squee.
If the plan was to make this a new take on Squee, Goblin Nabob, you missed a little. Triggering Squee's ability doesn't remove a draw.
Djinn of Wishes feels like an appropriate way to cast this... but at that point, you might as well pay for the miracle.
That's a rather balanced casting cost up there. I, too, believe you should only be able to play this using some sort of goofy Johnny means. Cascade, unfortunately, feels like cheating.
I guess "uncounterable blazing pact" or "uncounterable haste phage pact" would be worse, but this looks so plausible, while being every downside in vintage in one card, it's hilarious :)
Hahaha. When did Matt Tabak see this?
Yes, it is.
If I may take it as a seal of approval of sorts, Rules Manager Matt Tabak described this card as "awesome."
this needs an emblem to work properly

Ah, yes. As an example of one of the worst possible spells to turn into Pact form, yes, Blaze is pretty good :)
Of course this is a ridiculously broken card and you'll never see anything like it. It sprouted from a discussion about stupid ideas for Pacts.
Could include the line "Players cannot lose the game until the beginning of your next draw step". That should suss a few things out.
Um, uh... Instant win on turn zero, every time? Because I choose 20 to the fod, and I win, so there's no upkeep in which I have to pay.and if the opponent force-spikes it, I don't even lose, because the downside doesn't resolve either.
Love the intention, hate the implementation. (Even a a joke card)
