Someone once asked me to make a card based on a song title, and...well, you fill in the blank. Or better yet, just leave it blank.
Good times, good times...
You're right, I'd forgotten it needn't be symmetric. (I'm honestly surprised formats that use that don't have weird rules problems, but apparently not.) In which case, yes, this card it much, much worse, although I hope you could break it somehow...
Jack: It says nothing about the opponents' ranges of influence...
Funniest thing I read all day.
Before Stone Idol Trap, I would have said you'd be better to just say "its splice cost is equal to its trap cost" which even if isn't official terminology, is perfectly standardised and clear. But that doesn't really work for Stone Idol Trap. Or maybe it does, if the trap cost is just 5
less the number of attacking creatures.
I'm not convinced. In an emperor game, the emperor doesn't immediately win. But on the other hand, you probably DO win, assuming you have the good sense not to deck yourself, and your opponents don't :)
Me too.
:)
ROFL
...I have to hand it to you, the flavour text ties it all together beautifully.
I made this card before the creation of Stone Idol Trap which goes really bonkers with it.
This made me giggle lots :)
The idea, of course, being that (from your perspective) all your opponents have left the game, which (by 104.2a) means that you win!
Good point about the border colour. I've been meaning to add that to the todo list.
