Upon review, it's not really an ambush, since the opponent knows it's there when they attack. The mechanic is fine (though it may lead to ground stalls), but the name isn't quite right.
I think you want base power, now that it's a defined term in the rules. (I'm still salty about that.) Turn to Frog effects can change base power, but at least pump spells don't.
Looking at this again, now that the lands are exiled from graveyards, I think it can be much cheaper (probably just to exile one card). Alternatively, something like ", : Exile all land cards from target player's graveyard" could be a fun twist on it.
Question: Would this be more interesting with the ability to exile land cards from your hand as well? That version combos massively with Lotus Vale and Scorched Ruins, but even this version is pretty good with those cards.
from graveyard may be a good idea maybe any graveyard too. Main Idea was that it could 'pretend' to be any land exiled by it so you could activate it as any one of the exiled lands each turn.
other idea was a reverse dash where you play this from hand for its ambush cost to block an attacker.

change from printed power to base power

corrected typo changing toughness to power in reminder text)
Trying out my latest ablity, limiting damage to printed power as otherwise it gets too strong. And yes,I know the ability already exists in a form.
Trying it with no additional cost to exile.

wow, awesome blog post. Cool.
Okay reset it to exile lands from Graveyards at a slightly reduced cost.
Yeah, the Necrotic Ooze meets Thespian's Stage is great fun. The Stone Rain every turn rather less so.
My only issue with the current design is the strength of repeatably exiling your opponent's lands.
