This is the first card in a cycle of Enchantment - Moon enchantments that goes with the Lycanthrope cards. Each colour moon has a different effect on lycanthropes. The Moon subtype was needed so that there would only ever be one moon in play at a time.
The current terminology the rules use for flip cards is "flip" means put into the upside-down, flipped state, and "unflip" means put into the right-way-up, default state. (Also, currently the rules say you can't unflip a card, but that's a completely pointless rule that's sure to be removed at some point.)
Does make it look neater. I agree that not being able to unflip is pointless. There is a lot of design space available for unflipping that would be a shame to waste.
Changing the Moons to work with anything as I'm dropping Lycanthropes for now.
Moons have now been reworked such that players are incentivised to play their moons as they all either enhance the controller's creatures or weaken other players creatures - (((Chaotic Moon))) even does both at the same time. You would rather control the moon than your opponent.
Also, I may have to bump the cycle up to rare as they no longer have a creature type restriction.
