While the previous ability is REALLY good, we need more shield users.
This is an interesting design space, where the unit actually becomes STRONGER in some ways when it shrinks.

Previous ability a bit too complex for our liking
It's a "rattlesnake" card, and causes "gumming up" of battlefield leading to increased board state complexity
changed to spell-creature. Slightly overcosted, but good flexibility.

Too many questions for common, especially the part where the flipping is part of the cost.
Menace frequently didn't matter and is in practice suboptimal for something you need to spend mana on
Need more creatures with high switch costs for better bluffing and to limit decisions
Terran needs more midsize creatures
If needed, can be a mana sink, similar to an Invoker cycle
A little concerned about the 5cmc casting cost, which seems a little high for a mid-tier unit. Let's see.

Interchanged rarities with Battlecruiser.
Flavor of previous card has always been weird. A building that's an artifact? Why does it tap for mana? Not in line with anything else in the set.
Still need to keep a card like this to improve red/white card draw.
Cost for balancing, but patterend after Mask of Memory. (though I do believe the latter is undercosted)

Battlecruiser shouldnt be uncommon.
moving away from too many etb effects, where creatures feel too much like spells.
New ability inspiration from werewolves. Terran has a lot of activated abilities, so there will be turns where you don't cast spells. This ability will reward these turns. Will have common analogues, probably for SCV (gain life?) and Marauder (tapping?)

Old version has too much text, happens too suddenly, and acts too much like a lava axe for our liking.
is too much mana to do anything with the other creature.
New card based on a limited Sower of Temptation, and plays much more fun.
