Hmm, thing about "Aircraft" is it'd include Thopter (and probably Floating Fortress) as well. Maybe I will go with Zeppelin after all, then.
Or I could always go the utterly bulletproof route with "its controller sacrifices it"... (Okay, that's not bulletproof against Darksteel Gargoyle plus Tajuru Preserver.)
You could protect against the Darksteel with the somewhat curious "Whenever a creature has flying, it loses flying UEOT. Destroy that creature."
That, of course, allows effective regen. You may or may not care.
Could instead template like Suleiman's Legacy: "When ~ ETBs, destroy all creatures with flying. Whenever a creature with flying ETBs, destroy it." But that allows things to pick up flying equipment, for example. This way is less words and more loophole-proof: any time anything flies in any way, it dies. Regeneration only helps very briefly. The only drawback I can see is that this draws the game if there's a Darksteel Gargoyle around. (Well, and that the set is kinda themed around flyers, so this might be better deferred to set 2...)
How about "Aircraft"?
Although ship isn't an existing type anyway, and zeppelin is much more awesome...
(Existing ship cards tend to be apparently -- pirates! Although I admit "artifact creature -- goblin pirate rigger zeppelin construct" would be too ridiculous :))
Changed type from Zeppelin to the slightly more generic Ship.
:) So do I, but I can't take credit for it. I think that's the current reminder text on "choose a card type" cards? ...Hmm, no, I'm wrong, Blood Oath and Vigean Intuition do mention tribal as well. Oh well, yes, it's more relevant my way.
I approve of the inexhaustive, strictly correct, and almost-always (and certainly in set) maximally-relevant reminder text.
Mmmm... On balance, I'd say Yes.
It certainly makes Pestilence effects good, but so did Swans. It's a bit easier to cast in a mono-R or mono-B deck, but I think that's a fair evolution.
Too good with pyrohaemia? :)
Is it wrong of me to read it as "Lofty Margarine"?
Swans of Bryn Argoll without the prevention. Too bad? Too boring?
