Hmm... "The next time target player would draw a card this turn, instead that player looks at the top two cards of his or her library, puts one into his or her graveyard, and draws the other." Yeah, that's not too much wordier than the current only-you effect. I can go with that.
:)
Art should preferably show a merman wearing a monocle.
Added first strike, to better counterbalance the drawback. Now it's comparable to Evil Eye of Urborg: fractionally more able to kill in combat (possibly), but a bit harder to block, and more useful as a blocker. Was 6/4, but I think I'll make it 6/3 to make it slightly easier to answer.
Could get halfway there with "target player"; but I agree, it's hard to make it apply to everyone.
Technically, I think "The next time each player would draw" works, but it really sounds like it only applies if everyone's drawing at once.
On reconsideration, actually, Caltrops cost
, and Rain of Blades cost
. And this is pingable. So this is probably okay.
OK, following the example of Goblin Replica, activated abilities that can destroy artifacts in this set should cost more, particularly at common. So I've bumped up the cost. Now if you're using this as Disenchant you're paying

, which is a lot to pay in anyone's book; and if you're wanting to keep it open for a response, you're having to leave
up. I feel better about it now.
The playtesting will likely include a pilots deck vs a connectors deck, so if this seems too good in that setting, I'll consider upping the cost even further, or making this uncommon.
I'd like to make this apply to opponents too, so that it can be used to support a mill/graveyard-filling strategy. But the wording gets icky when you consider effects like Temple Bell that make multiple people draw a card at the same time.
Not sure if this'd get too irritating at common; it may end up getting moved to uncommon. There are a few ways to take this idea: you could instead regenerate for
. But I like the idea of this bolted-on widget that automatically does it, although it has to reinitialise itself each upkeep, giving a little window for instant-speed destruction to work.
Created Subharmonic Stabiliser from your connector idea.
Possibly a bit close to Heat-Compression Centrifuge, though.
