Is an uncommon Jayemdae Tome too strong if it dies to creature removal?
I want a name for a certain kind of cobbled-together artifact creature, that I can use as a creature type on several creatures in the block. In Shadowmoor they'd be Scarecrows, but that doesn't fit the theme here. I'd like something like Girl Genius's "Clank". "Shamble" doesn't seem quite right. Anyone got any ideas?
Continuing the streak of common artifacts that can tap cheaply, for fun connector purposes. Artifacts don't get much damage prevention, but it has happened: Amulet of Kroog, Conservator. This design may be a bit weak.
The set wants artifacts that can cheaply tap for all the connectors. A variant on Tooth of Chiss-Goria / Scale of Chiss-Goria seemed appropriate.
Pricing of burn spells is odd. You can get 3 damage to any target for
instant with an upside (Incinerate), but 4 damage to any target costs
instant (Lightning Blast; compare Flame Javelin). Downgrading to sorcery speed gets you a minor upside like a conditional cantrip.
That's an excellent suggestion. */* doesn't feel anywhere near as small as 1/1. Thanks! I think I'm okay with it dying if you have no artifacts - a little bit of risk is fine on a mythic, I think.
Maybe you could have its power be equal to the number of artifacts you control muliplied by five and the toughness be that number +1.
Yeah, the underwhelmingness is the problem. I'm hoping people's eyes will go to the text box. I'd like to make it the other way round - an oversized creature with something that shrinks it - but mythics generally want to be all-upside apart from exceptional cases. Maybe I'll just bin this idea for the moment.
a 1/1 for 6 is kinda...underwhelming. Hafta hope mass Artifact removal is scarce.
Not sure that this works as a mythic - may need to downgrade to a rare. Thoughts?
Like an artifact Vampire Bats.
The tap effect runs afoul of the "fatty problem" where you don't want to use a tap ability on your fatty, you want to swing with it. However, this one has a built-in solution: get your [Radiation] from somewhere else.
