There are bonuses and downsides to switching to an ability word, the first among them the inability to refer to ability words in card text. It's true, though, that Focus isn't something that can appear on its own, and I consider that a bad thing.
Or you could just add an "If this card is tapped" somewhere in there.
As for the ability, it seems okay. It's not something I would necessarily ever want to do, meaning each card with the ability is going to have to have extra text connected to focus. If that's the case, perhaps it would be better as an ability word.
I'm assuming that reminder text doesn't need to be perfectly exact and that the comp rules would cover that question. That aside, what do you think of Focus?
...Dwarven Hold had this argument; they changed the rules a couple of times. So I guess you do need to be explicit.
Can I choose "not to untap it" if it's not tapped in the first place?
Made slightly bigger.
There are currently both +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters in this set because I haven't decided on which to use.
Oddly, if I make this a -1/-1 counter block, this and Scorchwood Robber should probably have their
abilities switched.
