Am I bad and wrong for wanting to enchant this into becoming a land somehow? just to invoke that "But it can produce, oh flip." recursion?
It's a bit better than Star Compass, but I think it's fine. It's a straight conversion of Reflecting Pool into
-cost artifact.
EDIT: Wait, could not produce? Ah, in which case it's the land->
-cost-artifact port of Imaginary Kingdom, which ends up much more sensible than the land form.
Perhaps it also needs the line "...or add

I see no reason why it shouldn't exist, nor why it wouldn't work. It WOULD be very annoying as a fifth-colour fixer when you draw that last colour of land, mind you.
I think it's fine to not tap. That's just Azure Mage / Treasure Trove, after all. It's interesting that this is now the stats of Jagwasp Swarm / Moon Heron / Assault Griffin, and thus stands a reasonable chance of being picked in Limited by someone not playing blue at all. If you're in blue, this is a first pick. But that's fine - a set needs some first picks, after all!
Well; most colours would happily run a 1/1-haste for 1.
So yes.
As it doesn't NEED the haste for its activated ability (which doesn't tap) it could ditch that and be a an odd not-quite-red artifact. Or it could just cost
and be relatively fair.
It's still quite a very ping ability though.

Mmm, unno. I'd see this more as a tome that can be more easily destroyed - but that 3 power is indeed quite tasty. Hang on; it doesn't even TAP to draw the cards?!
Nice idea. But 3/1 flying is already way more efficient than most colours get for 3 mana. In fact, I don't think even white gets 3-power flyers without a drawback.

I don't think you can lose hexproof as a static ability. It would need to say "Creatures with hexproof can be targeted as though they didn't have hexproof."
