Ah, yes. Okay, let's assume my previous comment only talked about the words "you don't control". Hmm. Let me check something...
Huh. I guess that's the wording on Prey Upon. You can't fight your own creatures there. Interesting. Well it does change the perspective of my argument, then.
Well, without the restriction you get "Ok; I buff your 1/1 utility creature, and have it fight your 6/4 stompy creature; they both die. Yay!" Arbitrary fighting is a

sorcery. With the restriction it's
.
So the "you control" does need to be there. The other part you can probably safely forget though.
I guess "Fight and win" might be considered a bit too good? Or maybe they just don't have as many fight cards as we think; given its splashiness. There's only 6 cards with "Fight" in their rules text.
Huh. A restriction that's generally what you intend to do anyways... in this case, targeting a creature you control and one you don't control. Are you cool with this card failing to boost when your creature gets Shocked and your opponent doesn't have a creature, or when you just want to push three more damage in? I can dig it... since the whole point is to fight. I do think some players will be in for a rude awakening, though.
I do like creature boost combined with fight. Wonder why I haven't seen it yet... does it exist already? If not, good catch.
Five --> four
Gleeyipe. With any kind of decking protection at all, that's a terrifyingly good mill card for common. Imagine a 44-card Limited deck with, say, 4 of these. Fairly reliably wins on turn 7 (if you cast one on turn 3 and one on turn 5) and can throw any number of the rest of the deck slots into making chump blockers and removal spells. And getting 4 of a common could happen in Sealed almost as easily as in Draft.
This is somewhat equivalent to an artifact saying
: Each player loses 2 life. Which my instincts say isn't really suitable for common, but there was Shepherd of Rot... I suppose the difference is that the opponent in Limited will normally be trying to reduce your life total themselves, while they're unlikely to be trying to mill you out. (Plus Shepherd is a 1/1 and so much easier to remove.)
Also, I don't know if you've got any flashback/threshold/etc mechanics in your set, but these are terrifyingly good with those too.
Interesting. I'd say it probably doesn't need to ETBT too, since it costs
. If it cost
I could see why you'd need that.
Interesting comparison to Terrarion. It's very close to Terrarion with the
paid up-front rather than on the turn you pop it.
This seems a good deal better than Ghoulcaller's Bell. That's not saying much, though.
Hoorah! It's a Sol Ring! That you have to sacrifice! and costs more!
Ok, ok, my childish desire for things to be back the way they were in unlimited suppressed for a moment. It's really more akin to a spellbomb. And you don't really want colourless to have decent mana acceleration. I guess if you cast a whole bunch of these you can save up for a really evil turn.
Not sure why it ETBs tapped; I guess it means you can't effectively cycle it, but I'm not sure that needs suppressing.
eh, I guess it's ok. I don't think I'd ever pick it, but if I ended up with a couple I might run them. So probably about right; but I wouldn't enjoy having to pick them.
Wouldn't want this to cause draws in limited.
Yeah... that's a pretty cool reversal on Essence Warden. It will most often be inferior to the Warden, but Warden is a pretty nuts card, and this has the chance of being better in certain situations (Such as when your opponent has Shocks in his deck. Playing the Warden on turn one will probably get it killed fast. Playing this on turn 6, after finishing your curve, however, will neutralize the efficiency of that shock.) Nice.
Wow, nice card. My first thought is that it's a bit good for a one-drop, but on the other hand, it's actually not very good on turn one. So maybe it's just a one-drop that stays relevant(ish) on later turns, which is a great design. Nice.
I guess this is broadly comparable to Hornet Harasser, at common. This is much better at getting you the effect when you want it, and easier to cast, but does need one more mana. Probably fine now.
Nerfed again.
