Actually, it said "destroy target non-artifact creature" earlier, so this isn't necessarily worse...
Nerfed.
Man, I remember when Brainspoil was a strong card because it could kill almost anything, yet it only cost

. Murder has kind of changed the way we think about that, though, I suppose. Ignoring that, in a slow draft environment, I would still draft this card as fast and as often as I could. Kill target creature is still pretty good at
.
I don't know if there is no room for nekrataals in limited, like Alex suggested. Before Æther Adept became a core set standard, we hand't seen many straight up Man-O-Wars for a long time. Sure it's rare, but it doesn't really break anything... but maybe it should cost
+... I'm not sure if you want it to be limited MVP...
Hmm. I like the rest of this cycle, but Nekrataal and similar effects (Keening Banshee, Morkrut Banshee, Flametongue Kavu, Murderous Redcap) are uncommon for a reason. At common this will show up with incredible regularity in Limited, almost certainly more often than you want. It's a very strong version of the effect too: this will 2-for-1 all your coloured fatties all day long.
I'd recommend dropping the cost and making the effect "gets -1/-1 UEOT", like Blister Beetle, Blisterstick Shaman or Sparkmage Apprentice; that's the version of this effect that seems to exist at common these days.
Whoa. Better than Elvish Visionary in two ways. So far blue's never got a 2-mana cantrip creature apart from Silvergill Adept; they're still stuck with Sea Gate Oracle.
All that said, this probably isn't overpowered. It's just a lot better for this effect than blue has got before.
Removed Missile subtype from set.
Deleted missile subtype
Yes it does. My bad.
:)
There's so many options. Thornbreak... Stemstrangle... Leafsunder... Stamensever... Xylemrend... But I do particularly like Tubersquish.
Doesn't white normally get more token making then green?
Alex, I giggled at your suggestion.
Now uncommon.
Thanks for your feedback. After taking everything into consideration, I agree that this should be uncommon.
You recently edited this card, so I noticed you responded to my post from a while ago, but I never got the message. So, in case you're wondering, that's why I'm responding like some sort of ghost from the future. oooOOOOooohhh....
First of all, thank you for saying 'thank you, but I'll pass'. It's nice to know that, even if my thoughts don't match yours, that my opinion was evaluated. That being said, I think you may have misunderstood my point when comparing this to Thought Courier. That would infer that I thought that this card was too complicated for common, which, no... actually, I think this card is right on target for complexity at common. My argument for uncommon for a card like this boiled down to two reasons:
For those two reasons, if it were up to me, I would choose to bump the card up to uncommon. You're more than welcome to disagree with me, though. Don't take this response as me trolling or anything... I just wasn't sure if my original point came across correctly.
Can now only hit creatures.
