. Want to differentiate it from the blue mythic.

to make it more in line with Ghostly Sentinel and Winged Shepherd.
I seem to always include one of these "get as many copies of me as possible to make me mediocre" cards in every set I design.
A card that rewards decks without artifacts or enchantments. Not really trying to signal any deck archetype here, which may be a reason why this card should be cut from the set.
2BB/4BB Reflex > 1BB/3BB Reflex to differentiate it from (((Emperor's Judgement))).
I like it. Removes things green is allowed to (though, uh, nonland too, maybe?) and is on a creature which is very much green's balliwick.
Flavour is a massive hit. Big stubborn turtle sits on your vital artifact, and you cannot use it until it moves.
Though it could go one better - let it come back if it attacks too :)
Something similar has been done before in Leonin Relic-Warder, but given that O-ring effects are apparently in Green's color pie, I feel like this is an acceptable application for it. Originally it only could exile lands, but to increase usability I expanded it to all noncreature permanents. It's a bit awkward having your old man turtle squat on top of Jace or a Psychic Battle, but let's just say where he fits, he sits.
Last intro pack rare. This time its for UR Sequence.
There are non-Warrior Monkeys, I swear. The warrior type is a bit overused at the moment. Might be a mistake to use "Heroic" on a card without heroic, but my alternate name for it was "Aspiring Legend", and since it has no way to make itself legendary...
Not so sure this doesn't break anything, but it should be alright.
Another intro pack rare. This time its for BG Reflex. Sacrifice clause is at end step similar to Archfiend of Depravity. Given that flash makes it much better, it's got a higher than normal Reflex cost. Intended to be splashy and slightly johnny-y.
Since "yaoguai" is a term that's made it to American-made media (Supernatural, Fallout), does anyone think its a bit too esoteric to include here, esp. when used in place of "Demon" or "Spirit" in flavor text and names? It would be similar to how Rakshasa was used instead of "Demoncat".
Most demons on this plane can't fly.
Another intro pack rare. This time it's a little more wordy. For WB Bequeath.
Not much to say about this one. I'm sure people will think this is a DBZ reference.
Blue enchantress with flash for enchantments. Intended as another part of the intro pack rare cycle, this time for WU Talismans.
Two notes on this: Generally enchantress effects are White or Green, but I feel its an acceptable bleed in Blue given the contents of the set. Its a little overcosted for the enchantress effect, so I feel like its okay.
The other note is on the wording for the flash clause. I've made a conscious decision not to include flash in this set due to the existence of Reflex, so I feel like the wording for this effect shouldn't use the word flash either. Hence the alternate wording which should have the same effect.
Part of the rare "cycle" of "intro pack" rares. Its not really a cycle and intro pack rares have been phased out, but I am a fan of designing intro pack rares. This is the face card for RG Monstrous.
Trying out some new design space for Green that's similar to avoid fate. Much like most other custom designers, I am of the opinion that hexproof is not fun so I'm exploring use of psychological hexproof.
Was there ever a really good time to print pandas? Portal 3 seems like the best set we ever got and it was heavily based on a pre-existing work that probably did not invite branching out into pandas.
The design on this is solid.
May need to adjust stats in order to differentiate it from Pillartop Ram more.
I pesonally am a fan of -N/-N over N damage to a creature. It helps set apart black from Lightning Helix.
Pharika's Cure/Sorin's Thirst + Disfigure
I really wanted to avoid this being either and less than 3 mana to give more options for control, but making it similar to Defeat is much better for aggro (since there are a lot of X/3s for 1 or 2 mana).
Keeping it at a very aggressive mana cost for now, but will probably end up moving this to
eventually, since Black feels a little strong to me.
More +1/+1 Counter shenanigans.
look to be the strongest Bequeath colors right now with all of their +1/+1 counters. May need to shuffle some abilities and rebalance some cards in the future because of it.
