Excoriate with upside. It wasn't a very strong pick in BNG/THS/THS, but with the reflex rider, it might be a little more middling. I'd rather most removal be middle-of-the-pack pickups in this set.

That's a good point. I'll keep some of the more popular (relatively) tropes like Jiangshi untranslated, but I'll adjust the names of the less-popular accordingly. Proper names will obviously remain the same.

Pretty simple punisher counterspell. Might be a bit too strong for a black counterspell at common, but I feel like it's in line with cards like Dash Hopes.

will have the most Bequeath creatures, but will have the most beneficial abilities to pass on. Not sure if it is better gameplay to have it pass on one ability, be forced to pass on both abilities, or be able to choose how many abilities you want to pass on. Seems more interesting if all abilities must be passed on. mirror matches might end up being hot potato, though.

Colorshifted Unruly Mob. -voltron focuses on using lesser creatures to power up a strong one. This is a good candidate for getting beneficial Bequeath abilities.
