This seems comparable to Knightly Valor.

I would say it's too wordy, generates too much card advantage, and requires too much state board tracking (how many creatures do I control now and how many after this combat possibly and is there then too much damage on the enchanted creature for it to survive) for this to be a common.

The card's name doesn't quite fit any more though. Maybe something... "reforge"? With great forge heat causing damage?
