Yep, thought about putting one like this into my assorted cards as well. Finely flavored.

Ugh, the multichoice would require an ugly "color or colors" as in Quickchange.
back to singular choices
Now you can make it a white-black-red Demon Horror Unicorn.
... colors and creature types
had double UEOT in rules text
"You know what? That Runeclaw Bear you have there - it's actually a black Horror and it's coming to get ya!"
added in the wonky creature type / color change
flavor: in it
A fairly traditional throwback. What I was actually more interested in was the tutor variant, but the name kinda forced my hand here.
Compare to
Ahh, I see.
and 4 life to break the game in half.
I like it. Don't print it please.
Seems weird that the card is called a womb, but nothing is being birthed from it. Not only does it sound like a location, but the flavor doesn't seem to line up.
Also "exile cards equal to its power" is pretty irrelevant when it's only on an ETB trigger. "Exile the top six" would function exactly the same 95% of the time. If you want a weird, recurrable threat with a relevant drawback, maybe:
>You may cast ~ from exile.
>When ~ becomes the target of a spell or ability, exile cards from the library equal to twice its power, put a +1/+1 counter on it, then exile it.
>Counters remain on ~ as it moves to exile or the battlefield.
Eh, let's push it. Uncommon -> Rare and added "or planeswalker"
Originally was
>
: The next time enchanted creature would deal damage this turn, prevent that damage.
>
: The next time enchanted creature would be dealt damage this turn, prevent that damage.
but that was so wordy that I decided to streamline it.
There's also the consideration whether this could be "Enchant creature or planeswalker" with "enchanted permanent". Doesn't seem necessary.
I'm not sure about the numbers.
You're right so I edited the card. "Object" appearing in rules text is unprecedented so that's probably why my mind wandered toward the related, more familiar "source" word.
EDIT: "Cards" might be more understandable.
"sources" -> "objects"
This is not quite Channel. No need to worry. ;)
Sources? You mean objects? A source is always defined as a source of something e. g. damage, mana... But a spell would not generally be considered a source.
Yeah, mono-red is in the cards now. We haven't seen the pure effect yet - and I kinda don't want to. :)
Designed from the initial concept of "blue Explore" which first resulted in Time Lapse and now in this - though this is more of an "anti-Explore".
Also, I guess this would be a
if not outright mono-
card now..?
