I actually think this cycle is quite well-balanced. You clearly recognize that a full tapland already provides a reasonable service fixing your mana and "double tap" drawback is appropriate for uncommons that are otherwise cheap.

I agree that the life drain feels undeserved on this card, but without life loss this is clearly also not all that black - the issue when dealing with hybrid mana.

I just think take away the ETB trigger. It already has haste so you're going to get one anyway. If you took away the ETB trigger, you wpuld also have to rrmove the "hasn't been chosen" rule.
