No, I think you're parsing it backwards. For each of any number of other creatures, move one counter from this creature

But the reminder text is moving one token. So; why not just "you may move a counter from it to another creature" ?
I was honestly confused and thought it would permit you to turn the one lifelink on this into one lifelink on every other creature.

Or, it it's not moving, and replication is intentional - maybe a different word?
"You may put copy one counter from it onto any number of other creatures" ?

It's just reminder text, so "When this creature dies, distribute any number of counters on it to other creatures. At most one counter can be put on each other creature this way."

Also, horrible wording - how do I move a single counter onto four creatures? Do I need really big counters?
