I do like adding new purpose to the Cloudchaser Kestrel / Aurora Griffin ability, which is a nice kooky white common ability and a fine choice for an off-colour activation. But this reads more like Eight-and-a-Half-Tails to me. It's actually more like Beloved Chaplain, but even that is distinctly not-common.
This is interesting. It's virtually never going to be able to attack, so it's basically a 4/5 reach Wall for 3WWW. Which is still somewhat playable in Limited, which is what matters for commons.
But I don't think it's how I'd have taken the Plains instruction. I'd be inclined to either make a Parapet Watchers, or remember Shade of Trokair and make a
0/4 forestwalker with the Blessing ability. The G/W slot in this cycle (Sacred Birch) is rather non-common anyway.
Yeah, this has grown on me. It's not great, but a set needs some cards that aren't great. It has occasional uses, especially in a set which has the occasional random thing like a

common. I think it's a fine common colourless card.
Temporary mana fix from colorless.

Added flavor. Who wants toast?
I selected Derelict Ghost Ship and Random Generator gave m Rebel Informer. And yes, I know this is a bit of a stretch... but the last one of the cycle was Green/White, it needed to be simple, and, while the informer isn't known for "White Shroud" as much as hosing Rebels, it's got it, so I took it.
I wish I could claim that I was more clever, but I had a tough time with that flavor text. I eventually piecemealed Avacyn's Pilgrim and Everbark Shaman's flavor together. I feel a little bad about that... I'll have to come by later and fix it.
