True. Maybe move the destroy effect to the end?
It's what happens when you're a judge with an obsessive attention to detail :P
Yeah, but you'll notice that if you say the flavor texts out loud, they sound much better when the word with three syllables comes last.
What? All Nightmares in this set have dementia.
And yes, it's intended to be splashable. Given that the alternate damage mechanic in this set is spread among three colors (as opposed to just two in Scars, for example), I'd say splashable bombs are almost a necessity.
They're both silly placeholder flavor texts...
I mean, you're probably still 2-for-1-ing yourself most of the time.
I like how your charm cycle match the flavor text to the abilities. Except this one. It would work better if "purify" was moved to the beginning.
Green: "We don't Smite things, we Bite things!"
It's kinda nice to not have to worry about "Is this a lord type A or type B" Maybe they should have had a second subtype for it, but.
Also - eeeek! Most Nightmares are already pretty terrifying! They don't need a x2 lord!
As a hopefully meaningful comment: Should this really be splashable? And isn't it a bit odd that it has dementia but other nightmares don't?
I know, but that templating annoys me.
Yeah, I suppose.
Fair enough.
It does kinda need you to have seen Gorgonis Baloth first. Otherwise the flavour text does look very, very odd. I assumed it was some silly placeholder flavour text until I got to the Baloth; it's unfortunate that the visual spoiler will naturally put green after red.
Yeah. Given that Funeral Charm was instant-speed discard for 1 mana with two other choices, this seems fine to me.
I am rather impressed with the attention to little templating details that PMega (and the team?) have put into this set too :)
That's still like a 4/8 with wither. It might be better with P/T 8/6 or 8/4 or something.
Wow. That's quite an interesting card. It can't come out at all unless the opponent attacks you. Against near-creatureless decks, or if you just get a more aggressive start, this may be stranded in your hand for a long time. So the size is at least justified.
If you're wanting a milder (and more all-upside form), there's always the Qasali Ambusher template. You could give it a reduced cost rather than making it completely free. Although that's then coming close to Baloth Cage Trap / Pitfall Trap... which would be an interesting mixture.
Seems more black than green (though yes, green gets deathtouch too)
And pretty darn cheap, compared to Gaze of the Gorgon too. Still, probably not unreasonable a sneaky little combat trick that's not overly good.
