As the above comments are talking about, this card was actually updated when Brontodon got revealed, from a 4GGG 7/9. Ancient Brontodon is the largest vanilla ever, and basically serves to convey two things: Dinosaurs are big, and there is a green ramp strategy in XLN. CG10 here was put in the file to simultaneously convey three things -- Dinosaurs are big, there is a green ramp strategy in WOM, and Muraganda is the vanilla plane. As such, its design specification is to be the largest common vanilla, which was previously satisfied by a 7/7 but now requires at least a 10/9 or 9/10 body (and we would really rather not go above that at common -- I actually thought 9/9 was too big before wizards did it). It's also one of very few commons with an MMM cost right now, which helps convey the monocolor theme a tad.

(minor spoiler about ixalan)
Are you aware that the upcoming set has "Ancient Brontodon" which is a 9/9 vanilla for

at common? It's even a dinousaur so I think you could just "reprint" it.

Funnily enough, this seems appropriate to me, even though I sometimes side-eye innovations in the color pie guidelines.
... which, if we're being snarky, is looking more and more like none at all (no rules). "If it's colorless, just slam another +
in there and you'll be fine - regardless of the effect."
Sorry, I had to, though I know this discussion has already reached a point where it's running in circles.
Hmm. Yes, I guess it is comparable to Arcbound Hybrid / Iron League Steed. Twobrid does seem to be following the same colour pie rules as artifacts.
Not sure if we'll do any particular reference in the flavortext, not my department. If we do, perhaps "Belet monks from the highest peaks of [mountain range] know that some creatures stride taller than any tree."
I actually like something in that vein decently well, since it does stand perfectly fine on its own if you haven't seen Ancient Brontodon.

Is the flavor text going to be "As tall as the tallest of trees, as old as the oldest."?
