htmlconverter.org, html2png, phantomjs, crowbar, selenium...
Huh, nothing as turn-key as I thought. I had a really nice webkit-based one that you could drive programatically, injecting javascript, clicking buttons etc. But ti ooesn't seem to be maintained any more. I'll see if I can dig out the code I had.
Ooh, I'd love to find such a thing, but my Googling so far has failed. Do you have any links?
There are tools for that (headless browsers that render to images). There's even webservices for it nowadays.
I've at least used Lackey (as of a week ago), so the Lackey option seems fairly plausible. Big problem is that I think it needs card images rendering, and so far I've relied on browsers to do the HTML+CSS rendering of my mockups - I don't have any way to do them server-side.
I would prefer Lackey. It works on macs, so I can actually use it. Obviously, I understand if it's too much work.
i've yet to install cockatrice. how well does this integration work? can you draft? can you add sets to formats like standard, modern, etc?
I don't know. Not being very computer-savvy, I didn't really know that was an option. Is there an easy way to select a few different cards to print that way? I suppose you could make a details page of the cards you wanted to print.
To help me understand the feature request here: how is this different from Firefox's print of the visual spoiler etc with "show background" turned off?
I would be very grateful for this!
That'd certainly be easier. But I'm not keen on adding that many fields (2? 6? 8?) with the corresponding disk space increase to the 21000 cards that don't use them at all.
maybe easier as additional fields in the db.
There are ways I could do it, yes. I think I'd store the text box for all three parts, plus the P/T and level criteria of parts 2-3, all in the text box field in my database with some clever separators embedded. The problem is tying that together with the client-side editing boxes. It's doable, but fiddly.
You said that you would need "3 P/T and 3 text boxes", are you sure you can't use the same tricks used for, e.g. mechanic names or bracketed symbols? (though that might tie it specifically with stuff like Premade Official Keywords)
has gone away
OK. I suspect it'll be to do with the recent upgrade I did to Rails 3.2, and the associate switch to a different asset scheme. I believe now it shouldn't happen again. Let me know if you (or anyone else) sees this again. Thanks!
Funny. It lasted a few days, but it's not happening anymore.
I'll tell you if it happens again. Thanks anyway,
Hm. Looks like you're not getting any CSS. Can you try a hard refresh of that front page, Ctrl-F5? Or if that still doesn't work, edit the URL to add "?nocache" on the end.
If it's still not working, I have a hunch as to what might be the problem, but I don't know what would cause that. Could you view the source of the page and email me the content of the <head>...</head>?
Oops. Sorry for not being specific. I thought it would display the same for everybody.
Have a look:

No image is loading properly there, not even the Multiverse logo.
I'm using Chrome, by the way. Haven't tried other browsers. And it only happens in the main page of that particular set. (or at least I haven't found another set where it does)
Commenting on this one. Still not a thing, sadly.
same as Level-Up Cards
That's true. It turned out to be somewhat tricky (you basically need three card text boxes and three sets of P/T, which my infrastructure isn't set up for).
I'd probably rather you commented on that feature request (which is still open, blue) rather than create a new one. But nevertheless, okay, request heard. It is somewhat tricky so I don't know when I'll be able to do it, but I'll give it another look.
Yes, and that update never brought levelers :
I assume you mean creatures with level up like Knight of Cliffhaven rather than Leveler? :) In which case, is this the same as Level-Up Cards?
I think it looks okay to me. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for though. Could you elaborate precisely what you'd expect to see, what you see instead, and which specific cards look wrong? And when you say "pics" aren't showing, do you mean images for card art, images for whole card display, the HTML mockups of cards, or the images of mana symbols?
Thanks!
Bug found. Many thanks for mentioning it. Fixed locally; will deploy either tonight or in the next couple of days.
Hm. That's not known, no - I'll investigate.
Searching in comments for "13893" works though, but it won't catch anything using the alternate
(((Fivegone Conclusion)))syntax.FWIW, I'd split this into two potential improvements:
Neither of those are high priority, but they're both things I think would be useful, at least for me.
PS. I searched for "13893" to test card search and got "We're sorry, something's gone wrong" -- is that a known bug?
