Template updated per Rise from the Tides promo.
Looks like I'm going to have to do some formatting changes, with the addition of create and all.
Do you have any ideas for the other four enemy color mechanics in WoR? We have Batallion for . What about the others? I want to start working on the set at the start of next semester.
Balance Notes: Each mode seems a bit weaker than average, but considering the enchantment syngergies, it should be alright. We can't really call the "options" card for this when arguing modal power level, as you don't choose your mode.
Balance Notes: This reminds me of Thrive, except that it's temporary, but it adds a keyword. It should be fine, if a little weak.
Balance Notes: This is almost always much more efficient than Phalanx Formation for 5, but it can only be used at that cost (rather than the flexibility of Formation) and only for blockers, so it seems fine, if a little weak.
Balance Notes: This is pretty bad when you consider the fact that Kill Shot was only a just-better-than-average common and it was a lot better at doing what it does. This can probably just kill an attacker and cost at uncommon, maybe investing only a creature to balance that out.
Balance Notes 2.0: This might be a bit powerful at 2 mana, even with the significant stat reduction (3/2 to 1/1). I think it's alright, though.
Downsizing this to fix white's uncommon mana curve for creatures (it had one 2-drop, one 3-drop, and five 4-drops, now it has a 1-drop, two 2-drops, a 3-drop, and 3 4-drops, which is still odd but better).
Actually, on second thought, we have a weird mana curve for uncommon white creatures, so let's make this smaller and cheaper to help fix that. A 2/2 flyer for is a bit better than a 1/1 flyer for in limited, so we can boost the abilities a bit.
7/22/16: to for balance.
Balance Notes: Possibly a bit underwhelming, it's more expensive than Dawn Gryff for the lifegain and investiture. Is that worth it? Probably not, and Starspren is rarer than Gryff. Let's try a cost reduction, or if that proves to be too much, we can remove from one of the abilities.
Balance Notes: All good.
Not anymore.
You didn't even need two humans, since this can untap itself.
You're right, I didn't think about the interaction of two humans here. Is this better?
This is a bit too much, I think. Especially since the human can untap itself infinitely with relative ease. I would add a cost of .
Balance Notes: Humans is by no means a tribe that has a consistent record in legacy, so this definitely isn't Wirewood Symbiote (This is also three mana and situational). However, this kind of effect has a history of being powerful, so let's keep an eye on it if we playtest.
--> for symmetry with Alethela Magistrate.
--> for balance.
Balance Notes: Most cards of this vein have the potential to gain more than three life (Knight of Obligation, Seraph of the Dawn, Student of Ojutai) and/or a keyword on top of the lifegain. Moving from to for slight boost.
