Can we make this a Noble instead of a Coward? I feel like Coward is a bit of a vague creature type and prefer Noble to describe him, we can show his cowardice through his abilities if you want but I actually feel like he's more foolhardy than cowardly.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :P I knew Coward was mentioned in Time Spiral, and it seemed hilariously appropriate.
The flavor of this is priceless. It's perfect.
Thanks! In a way, the abilities are homage to Brimaz, King of Oreskos, except that he is a strong leader (more token production) who is able to defend himself (has vigilance instead of needing someone else with it). Come to think of this, that makes it a little weak by comparison. Edited slightly.
Four toughness is a little too high. Elhokar may be a trained duelist, but he's not that good a fighter.
This card is just kind of weak right now. Trying a slightly different condition.
This is also quite appropriate. He can be a reasonably effective king, but he needs his guards to protect him.
Template updated per Rise from the Tides promo.
Balance Notes: This certainly won't be any better than Brimaz, King of Oreskos and it seems quite a bit worse, but that's not necessarily a bad place to be, as Brimaz is quite good. Still, this could use a boost.
Three power to four power for balance. I know that it's not super flavorful, but P/T isn't always flavorful (can Krosan Cloudscraper really defeat Kozilek, Butcher of Truth in a fight? I think not). It needs to happen for balance.
Nevermind, that works better. Now summons armies without entering combat himself unlike Brimaz, but needs those armies to feel safe.
