This is kind of a non-sequitur in this set, as it doesn't have a power matters theme like Khans, Dragons, or Alara. Maybe make it each creature you control with a counter on it?
Right now, you can choose the first option even if you don't control a permanent with a charge counter. Maybe tap that artifact instead?
Note: This is thematically more appropriate in this set. This also sets a nice precedent. I want a mega cycle spanning the entire block, in which we include a non-weapon artifact in each set that is significant to the book's main character's character.
Ah, of course. I hadn't even thought of the Parshendi.
It seemed like a good idea for representing the different forms of the Parshendi. It also allows us to show how the Surgebinders evolve as they develop their powers. The first transforming cards we designed, however, were Syl and Pattern. It was the obvious choice for showing their blade forms.
Out of curiosity, how did you arrive at transform as a mechanic for this set?
Well then, just do a one-sided fight... but it would need some balancing then.
No, but in the context, it does somewhat. One sided fights are now a thing for green. Conditionally preventing the damage would be very similar to just doing a one sided fight.
Moving the same effect to another green card doesn't make it in-color.
Sure. Preventing damage would make more sense with Glorious Hunt, turning it into a one-sided fight.
Regenerate is a wonderful in-pie replacement.
