Difference here is that if I take 1 damage (or more), then I actually net LESS than the Worldwake analog.
Seems expensive worldwake had a common instant for 1W gained you 4 life and gained you 8 if you had a land come into play that turn
I'd raze the Activation then you have to balance using him and playing something on turn 3,4,5. Do I play this guy or do I save mana to activate this guy.
And a good way to retrigger entry effects.
I suppose you're right; this card just looks cool to me. Move my cool stuff to an unblocked creature? Yup. Oh you're going to kill my awesome equipped nasty? Notsomuch.
Seems like an excellent response to a lot of things.
Perhaps I drop the +1/+1. I wanted a super-flexible combat trick that left a piece of itself behind — furthering the notion that auras aren't just there to get 2-for-1ed.
Maybe both. All I know is that if I can start clamping down and gaining life on turn 3, I'm doing that because there is virtually no way a draft deck is going to put enough pressure on me by turn 2 to make this card unattractive.
Difficult card to use. Really bad turn 2, maybe cool turn 4? I like it.
I think this is absolutely insane. Why wouldn't you take this, ever? The possibility to swing with your best, then untap it, block a flyer with a permanent bonus and give another creature first strike as an instant? That is huge, and at common is way, way too good.
This may need a little cleanup; I first read this as putting a counter from the Hydra onto another creature, but it seems like it's actually a separate ability; remove counters, and put a +1 on another independently.
