Like Link said, the equipment won't kill the creature so it encourages the creature to be on the offensive and actually have to be killed, or at least wait to block. Now if you have an Ashnod's Altarout, then you might have some fun.
Removed ability that made it unblockable for a loot ability. While there are other loot abilities are other draw abilities in the set, the mechanics empty the hand pretty hard so I was okay with adding access to more draw power.
Neat. I honestly just wanted some card draw in black to make up for algebra and wishpowered and guessed at what the card would look like if it had a bigger body.
Oddly, the p/t, casting cost plus one ability puts this rather close to Street Wraith. Perhaps that's intentional? I'm not sure what you want, but I thought this was worth mentioning.
now loses defender

It will never be as potent as Skullclamp because it doesn't kill the creature itself.
Um, Uh.
In isolation, this seems like a sensible set of effects.
In combination with -toughness equipment, this seems devastatingly potent. Skullclamp level potent.

Increased cost from to , replaced menace with deathtouch, and made p/t 3/4
Forgot to make an artifact creature.
I think this would be a lot better on a bigger creature, one that you can't use in the early game so you want to dig to usable spells.
changed from 1 life to 3
There was no reason for this card to be at instant speed.
added vigilance
The tap ability is to represent pouncing on something. Second ability has no flavor behind it.
Yeah, that seems good
