OK, this one is a doozy. There are again, several somewhat harsh restrictions but also a LOT of freedom.

The list is:
Barktooth Warbeard, Hunding Gjornersen, Jasmine Boreal, Jedit Ojanen, Jerrard of the Closed Fist, Kasimir the Lone Wolf, Lady Orca, Lord Magnus, Marhault Elsdragon, Pavel Maliki, Princess Lucrezia, Ramirez DePietro, Riven Turnbull, Sir Shandlar of Eberyn, Sivitri Scarzam, Sunastian Falconer, The Lady of the Mountain, Tobias Andrion, Tor Wauki, Torsten Von Ursus.

Note: Where the oracle typeline has only one subtype, you are free to add a second subtype that fits the art/flavour of the card.

So it must keep the original/current mana cost and creature types (EDIT: no longer the name), and must be rarity (precisely) rare? OK. Fun.

Wow, I don't know most of the Legends story. Attempt: Jedit Ojanen of the Robaran (The #1 not being part of the official name, but in case anyone else makes the same card for this challenge.)

Edit: Name changed as Alex suggests, I agree a good idea.

Fun challenge. I want to create several cards for it. For the moment I've created Pavel Maliki, the Vagrant. I suggest we allow people to modify the name slightly (adding a sobriquet, for example) so as to avoid needing numerical suffixes in order to link. If you want to disallow that, though, I suggest people post direct links in the [link text](url) format.

This is fun. I don't know any of the Legends storyline, so I hope I didn't somehow violate it. I want to make more entries later, but I'm working at a marching band camp, so I don't have much time right now.

It is possible that no one knows the Legends storyline. I am quite sure that the people who wrote books for Magic, at the time, had no idea what the story was. :p

Most of these dudes, though, didn't really have a story. But the guy's name is Barktooth Warbeard! Couldn't you just imagine what cool adventures he went on (in second edition D&D)!

changng the name slightly makes sense; I have modified the challenge accordingly.
As to the storyline? Legends didn't have a storyline - at all. Wizards later tried to give some of the Legends Legends (heh) a backstory in some early novels/comics but for this challenge Ignore them.

This is my attempt at my own challenge (((Sivitri Scarzam, Dragonmistress))). I have several other ideas as well that I will hold off on until others have posted theirs.

For your shopping convenience, I have added Princess Lucrezia of Urborg to our merry cast of characters. I tried to work some mojo with Lord Magnus... something about removing all land types from all lands, but I just couldn't pull anything exciting from it.

I just realized I didn't link my card. Jasmine Boreal, Peacemaker.

I like this, so I've been doing a bit more of it. Have The Lady of the Mountain.
