Sadly the "each creature gets -X/-X" fails to synergise with the "gain life equal to the number of creatures that died this turn". The creatures exist on the battlefield as -3/-3 or whatever until the spell is done resolving, and only then do they die. It'd work if it was instead "Destroy each creature with CMC X [or less]".
Funky spell. Very big and splashy - I love the entwine. Comparisons to Profane Command are inevitable, but this is a lot more universal rather than targeted.
Really? SBEs aren't checked during the resolution? That sucks. I guess I'll change it to "Destroy each creature with toughness X or less."
Also, should I reorder the abilities so that the synergistic abilities are next to each other, rather than two negatives and two life drains?
