For Challenge # 004. This went through several iterations before I posted it, and I'm still not sure whether or not I'm happy with it.
I don't see how it relates to Varlan the Grower at all...
He's looking for creatures? Since he needs them to function? If it doesn't make sense I'll think of something else.
Now it's almost Lead the Stampede, but with blue in it...
I completely changed the effect.
The fun thing about this is if you use it to get Phyrexian Dreadnought, suddenly you automatically have fuel for its trigger without needing to sidestep it.
(Not that I can imagine any reason you'd want to play it at that point.)
Don't you mean "can't?" :)
"it" there means the Dreadnought: if you already have a 15/15, why would you want to sacrifice it just to get a new 12/12 to stick?
If trample is a consideration, there were likely much better choices for what you could have put the counters on.
Sorry, I read your comment completely wrong. I don't even know what I thought it said. Haha. Anyway, is this too good?
Changed mana cost.
I feel like this was too cheap before... but now maybe it costs too much. I don't know. It had CMC 4 before, but that just seemed too early to let someone put 15 +1/+1 counters on something by revealing Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
Yeah, revealing a card form a deck just means "I had to put a dead card in my deck" (and hey, if I DO get to 15 mana somehow...)
Seems a shame.
