This seems really dangerous. More comfortable at 2GU, or at 4/4, or 5/3.

What archetype does this support?

Canisters. You bounce the inconsequential token

If I do manage to play a Pioneer Researcher or Delivery Automaton on turn 2, that is what I want to return to my hand, not the canister it made. (Unless one of the decks is very aggressive) It just seems so tempting to return a land, which isn't what this set is about.

nonland permanent seems a decent change. Maybe also just making it a mono blue card.

Maybe we're being too subtle. "Return an artifact you control to your hand."

Gating is normally green, and occasionally white or blue.

Artifact sounds good to me. Or maybe, for something more novel "When CARDNAME ETBs, sacrifice it unless you exile a token you control."

How about 4/3 Trample?

Reminds me of Nulltread Gargantuan. That was card disadvantage as well as tempo disadvantage and this is only -0/-1 smaller, so I think this is probably overpushed.

I think the issue here is we just don't have room for a blue/green uncommon.

@Doombringer You mean we only have space for 1 blue/green uncommon and Canister Buster is doing a good job, right?

Ironically if it put the perminent on top of my library, I would be more likely to target a canister.

Canister Buster is outdated on the skeleton, the latest playtest used a different design I'd have to dig up.

I guess my main reason I don't like this as U/G is it can easily just be mono blue and work just as well.

I'd rather see it monogreen

You guys realize you can bounce the canister or the Pioneer Researcher and get another canister? Or the flash Thopter girl? And have still a 5/5 to break through board stalls? There seem to be a lot of tricks for it on file.

It's also a large threat that other decks won't want, unlike the current GU uncommon guy who just gets sniped by the BG deck because recharge and draw is pretty great.

The nonland permanent gets weird if you have no board. It also technically synergizes with the tapped lands, but only sorta.

I think this is fine as-is. Personally, I'd make it a 5/5 4-CMC Roaring Primadox that returns any permanent, which seems fair to me, if not a little pushed. This current design seems pushed nicely as well, of course, but far less of a build-around, especially since it wants the thing you bounce to already be on board.

Shouldn't this be nonland Permanent?

Nonland

I did want it to be just permanent, but it still probably play better as nonland. Otherwise more decks would be more willing to pick it up probably.

Would putting it on top of your library make it far more attractive to bounce canisters?

It sure would. In most limited situation, at least.

Sure, but does it need more downside?

now added a rarity

Nobody a fan of my idea? :P

I'm gonna put this in the file as-is, but I still think a Roaring Primadox would make it less likely to be picked up except by the green/blue deck.

I'd vote for Primadox over Prowler.
