Ouch! Yes, that is clearly a 'horde ambusher'.
If you cast it in the declare blocks step, it's too late to block. Has to be during (preferably an opponent's) declare attack step.
I decided to allow you to cast it during your own combo step in case you need some kind of combo dependent on the number of creatures you had.
Is that Johnny's favorite step?
I don't imagine so. Still, is this card problematic in allowing you to cast it during your own turn?
