Aldubar is a floating plane that makes occasional contact with other planes. Its economy is based purely on trade and moving rare and exotic items between worlds. Since many of these items are one of a kind, and are therefore priceless, theft and graft have become a way of life.

We're early on in Aldubar design, and your lead has requested you design a number of flavorful cards to help explain the hostile environment of Aldubar. A list of suggested items follows. Feel free to either design around one of these names, or design something of your own.

Lockpicks
Poison Ring
Garrote
Trapped Chest
Hood and Mask
Secret Pockets
False Door
Studded Leather
Guard Hound
Tripwire
Portable Scaffold
Bribe Money
Climbing Boots
False Rock
Secluded Hideout
Untouchable Agent
Naive Mark
Don's Favor
Snare Trap
Cheap Knockoff
Sewer Network
Decoder Ring
Cane Sword
Zip Line
Criminal Investigation Laboratory
Two Man Con
Smash and Grab
Hide in Plain Sight
Backroom Shenanigans
Pawn Broker
Stoolie Informant
Not in the Face!

Oh, nice idea.

Frenzied Looting

I tried to make a mechanic out of Two-Man Con and created Compliant Accomplice, Hoverbreaker Thug, and Sweettalk Scammer. I will be the first to admit that Two-Person Con has a lot of flaws and limited design space.

Out of interest, is "False Rock" a reference to something specific? It's the only one that didn't make sense at first glance.

It's a hollow object meant to look like a rock where one stores their valuables. Here's one on Amazon.

Ah, of course! I couldn't figure out why someone would want to fake a rock rather than just use a real one. I'm not cut out for deception :)

And also, Pawn Broker and Fly-by-Night, which has an actual mechanic on.

I wanted to try to create some more creatures: Brute Squad Leader and Mob Runner

Unhesitating Legbreaker, a first strike/wither variant

ETA: And Mob Fundraiser with an attack-focussed extort mechanic.

The challenge for this plane will be white (and green) cards. What do white and green look like on a plane of thieves? A few law enforcers in white, I guess, but they can't all be.

Excellent point, Alex. I will have to make some cards tomorrow to help balance this.

I was thinking about this problem without confronting it directly, though. One idea that was running through my head was to make green 'the smugglers'. The idea being that green can move things through the forest with ease, and can hide things for a very long time. If that puts green in on the game, then white can be a very taxed law enforcement that has to put up with the shenanigans of 4 colors, instead of the usual 2.

Alternatively, it occurred to me that Extort was a solid keyword to return for this set. If that's the case, then a segment of white can play Mafia. It believes in organization and the greater good, and if everyone plays nice, we'll all get along. You could even focus on how much the white organized crime does to improve its community. Many of the 'white criminals' might even see themselves as the good guys.
