Except this DOESN'T COST A CARD. Yikes.

Well, it costs you cards in your sideboard. Plus you can only activate it 4 times. But yeah, it should be a spellshaper.

In 20XX, I often use the argument that Mons's Goblin Raiders are taking up space in the sideboard, and that's helps balance the fairness factor. But the funny thing about Elvish Mystic in the sideboard is that it could be a legitimate sideboard choice. Throwing more 1-drop mana elves in your deck is a good plan against both aggro and control. I'm thinking Elf #1&2 in the sideboard are true dead sideboard cards, since you wouldn't want to nerf this card. But elf #3&4 almost don't count as dead cards in the sideboard.
