Just turned this up when searching for the simplest form of the ", : Add " land. It's curiously untraceable - doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere else on the site.
I think this was created for Challenge # 037, but jmg didn't end up using it.
Are we going to have a cycle of lands that do this in the Community Set? It would be a good fit. The best fit might be the Graven Cairns cycle, to benefit both monocolor and multicolor, though.
Oh. Unfortunately, hybrid mana can only be used as a cost. It's not something you can add to your mana pool.
Removing the option to tap for also makes them disturbingly weak lands. What abuses are you talking about?
I think that ruling only exists so that Elemental Resonance will work. I really don't think hybrid symbols are meant to represent something you can add to your pool.
I groaned when I saw the name. Then I noticed that I created this card a year ago and forgot about it. Yeah... looks like a card that didn't end up in Boney Control, indeed.
I should do another one of those. Was quite a bit of work, though. And it would have to be a very different type of 'broken deck'. Hmm.

Yes! They can finally be reprinted with only four glyphs!
What's a glyph?
Character, Symbol.
Specifically, I'd want full-card art, with just the one line of text at the bottom:

:

(I guess the punctuation raises it to 5 though)
Not having the option to tap for
pretty much removes the worst abuses of not ETBing tapped.

Removing the option to tap for
Being better than a normal land :)
Anyway, I'm told it works - you just have to resolve it as either
or
when you add it, which is natural anyway.

Link: We've got the Sea Crest cycle, which probably means we don't want quite the same thing on a land cycle as well.
