I want to put this on Wirewood Channeler and cast something like Elvish Fury or Searing Touch an infinite number of times.

Hmm, that could be a problem. If I avoid easy combos with this in the set, leaving expensive infinite combos for Constructed is fine.

I wouldn't say it's a problem. It's a silly combo, it needs a lot of Elves, and a version of it is already possible with Wirewood Channeler + Intruder Alarm + Lab Rats.
