Why is the dealing damage mandatory? I can easily see scenarios where you would be forced to hit your own stuff with it. Ie. you control this and a 1/1 and opponent blocks this with a 2/2 and you are forced to shoot down your 1/1 from what I can parse from that reminder text.

Good catch. Updated it to only hit opponents' permanents
