It will effectively neutralise a Prison Term :) And I like the implementation of "free". Hope Charm and Piety Charm can each destroy an Aura so the effect is worth less than 1 mana; getting it for {0} is intriguing.

It does somewhat break the colour pie; traditionally red and black just Aren't Allowed to destroy enchantments. The typical solution here would be to add "Cast ~ only if you control a Plains or a Forest" or some such.

Yeah, or I wondered about making it cost {w} with extra rules text "You may do blah instead of paying its mana cost", but couldn't think of a suitable blah, and it would make it less elegant and less obviously free.

It's clearly very low-powered because it's so specific. I wondered about making it cantrip (and still free) but then that might be overpowered.

Oh, I like it. It's a good example of a free instant which is useful, but not overpowered.

I agree you've got to be very careful giving any enchantment removal to B/R, but also, traditionally artifacts do get to do effects that are in color in weaker forms (eg. Moonglove Extract), even if Mark Rosewater is still against colors getting things out of pie, however expensively. This is hardly going to give black/red relief from enchantments, so the question is, is it a fair price for B/R to destroy an enchantment?

I'm not sure. It's sufficiently narrow it'll rarely make a difference if it costs 0 or 1. We've established "destroy target creature aura" costs something less than C. But does it cost enough less that B and R can get it for 0 as well as G or W? I hope it does, because I prefer the simpler version of the card, but I'm not sure.

It's a better card as a simple card; but yeah, there are some environments you wouldn't want to allow this to exist in.

Still and all; it ONLY deals with a very limited set of cards. Sadly, that set includes Oblivion Ring and probably you aren't allowed to nuke that quite this hard.

I'd have been tempted to overcomplicate this card... and in fact I think I will.

Gut out of jail free.

Actually, Oblivion Ring isn't an aura even though it looks like one. It deals with Arrest and similar creature removal that are auras, (and not mind control), which is what it does well, but is still very narrow. I think few "protect my stuff" cards are played unless someone is looking for a specific answer.
