I have no idea what color(s) this is supposed to be?

Sounds blue or black. If you make it blue, it should probably give some kind of evasive ability. If you make it black on the other hand, it should have some kind of negative upkeep or end-step effect like losing life for whomever controls it.

I think definitely make it black. The buff on the creature should be more powerful (Something like deathtouch). The downside for whomever controls it should be pretty substantial (They can't gain life or they lose life every end step.) Also Turning Heel does mean turning to the bad side or becoming evil.

If you do take my black idea or just a part of it, you might want to restrict the control switch condition to when it deals combat damage to a Player.
