Headless Butcher with 2, 1, 2, 2
See Challenge # 148.
2, 1, 2, 2
Mostly, I just didn't want it to hit a creature with haste three rounds after it was already in play. It seemed kind of arbitrary to make a difference between creatures that had haste until end of turn, and creatures that didn't.
Yep, this is pretty cool. Reminds me a little of Riptide Mangler... and actually reminds me rather more of Gigantomancer, though that was twice the cost so it makes sense its ability was rather stronger.
Also reminiscent of Omnibian, though that had more tactical depth to it in that you'd reasonably often be able to use it to shrink an opponent's bomb. 6 is big enough that this will almost always be used on your own creatures. Unless you put it in an Eldrazi-style set, I guess...
Stylish. "Choose one" is indeed a cunning way to use a 1 from the generator :)
Rather odd wording on the bottom ability? It'll normally only hit haste creatures, or things brought along by Militia's Pride or Yore-Tiller Nephilim effects?
Niice. Reminds me of Sea Gate Oracle. I agree that this certainly shouldn't let you cast all three of them - see Act on Impulse.
Nervous Looter with 3, 1, 2, 3.
See Challenge # 148.
It occurred to me, red card draw could be powered down further by explicitly making it "play one only". Which is about right for this card.
Made Boreal Forest Fire off of Jack's suggestion to put three of the numbers in the text. Accidentally added an extra number three without realizing my mistake. Ah well.
Created for Challenge # 148 using 6, 2, 1, 2. Canadian Boreal forest rejuvenate after a forest fire... they evolved with them. Stopping the fire before it spreads tends to damage the forest more, since the vegetation tends to choke on weeds.
I tried representing that here, but I couldn't think of a name that didn't accidentally remind people of regeneration. Ah well. The art guy/gal will have to solve that problem. ;p
Wall Between Life and Death with 3, 1, 6, 4
See Challenge # 148.
I got 3 CMC 1/6 which is about right, but not a usual size. So I um'ed and ah'ed and went with something that's a mix of advantage and drawback. But I'm not completely happy.
Essence of Volatility with 6,6,1,6
See Challenge # 148.
Oh yeah, the planeswalker-specific version would be interesting. So would a "generate a card with these three numbers in the rules text".
Oh, interesting!
Added Educated Quanar with 4, 3, 6, 6.
For Challenge # 148. I got 4, 3, 6, 6 and this just kind of came together.
Oh, as an aside. Jack couldn't think of something that easily incorporates 4 numbers besides creatures. But Planeswalkers do. In fact, you're better rolling 5 times if you want one of them (and rearranging the middle 3 in numerical order for it all to make more sense.) Also, an instant or a sorcery that produces a creature token, or some trick akin to Symbiosis makes sense in my mind, too.
Added Flame-Kin Foreguard with 5, 5, 1, 1.
For Challenge # 148 with the numbers 5, 5, 1, 1, and putting them in Jack's order. Getting one for the text is oddly difficult. I can deal or gain 1 damage/life. I can gain one mana. In theory, I can use +1/+1 or -1/-1 counters (though, I'd rather not. Restricting myself to a single one feels like part of the challenge. I'm sure others would disagree.) But I can't draw one card. I draw a card. I can target up to one creature, but I need a good reason why a creature would be doing that instead of using the words 'may target'.
Anyhow, in the end I realized I could do modal, so I did that.
Created Harbinger of Ulamog. Numbers were 2, 5, 6, and 2.
See Challenge # 148. Recieved 2, 5, 6, 2.
To give you the idea, I rolled 3,6,6,5 and made Demon of Insanity
See Challenge # 148.
I used the "in order" version of the challenge, needing an appropriate 5-sized drawback for a 3-mana 6/6. This seems about right, it could be an advantage and it's not an instant loss, but it's a significant downside on a creature which will be powerful but not win the game by itself.
You can get four random numbers from 1-6 from this link.

FAQ:
Q: Can I create a token instead of a creature?
A: Sure, why not.
Q: I'm not sure what's included in "In rules text". Can I use "a" for "one"? Can I use "double" for 2? Can I use either numerals or spell it out?
A: Yes, any of that's fine.
Q: Can I create another card type instead?
A: I can't see how.
Q: But if I can think of something?
A: Sure, knock yourself out.
Q: Actually, this sounds a bit hard. Can I just use three numbers?
A: Yeah, that sounds fun too.
Q: Wait, you used a TRUE random number site? Can I use a different site if it only uses pseudorandom numbers.
A: Yes, that's completely fine. Random.org just happens to be the top hit on google. Get 4d6 from a dice rolling site.
Q: Actually, I'd like it to be harder. Can reQ:ire the numbers to be in order? 1 to 6 is a bit sensible, can I use 0 to 8?
A: Sure.
Q: How about -2 to 17?
A: If you like.
Q: You seem a lot less precise than you often are...?
A: Some challenges I think "restrictions breed creativity", and throwing back attractive near-misses to come up with something that fits produces more interesting cards. Other challenges I think the main work is in providing a place to get started, and if people want to wander off from there, that's all to the good.
Q: You wrote a lot of words for this, when you could have just said "...or something along those lines". Are you putting something off? Do you wish you'd spent those words on something more productive?
A: No comment.
Aha, yes, nice. I looked at the name and thought "Hmm, needs to turn a creature into a Dragon. But can you do that in mono-red?" I'd forgotten that he turned RUG in his last incarnation, and of course blue is the primary colour of shapeshifting :)
The other two abilities seem very niche though. I think for 3 mana you could have "4 damage to each opponent", and the fight could easily be a full Pit Fight; I appreciate the extra words are for flavour, but it does make the card much less useful. How about "Target Dragon deals damage equal to its power divided as you choose among any number of target creatures"?
