Also not for Challenge # 014. I again came up with an interesting mechanic, and originally tied it to "Deal 7 damage to all players", but with you dealing out the damage, it didn't sound like a moment of desperation. Again, though, I like the resulting card, and wouldn't want the idea tossed away.
Not really for Challenge # 014. I was trying to make a card called 2+2=5, and came up with this boggler. It may or may not fit the rules of the game (the big question being: Can I tap my creature? And if so, how often?) so it isn't really part of the challenge. I just couldn't resist posting it anyways.
The intent, for those who are curious, is that your creatures are considered to be tapped and untapped. They aren't of course. But you are using Doublethink, and simultaneously see the world as it is and as it isn't. Therefore, they can block if they are tapped, for example. But you wouldn't be able to tap a Llanowar Elves for mana if it was actually in a tapped state. Dig?
For Challenge # 014. I originally wanted the text to read:
Imprint - Reveal target player's hand, then exile a card in that players hand. As long as the imprinted card remains exiled, its owner plays with their hand revealed. Whenever that player draws a card with the same color as the imprinted card, he or she loses one life.
...but I had to admit, that that would make a much better enchantment.
Ah, you caught one of the tricks that I had held up my sleeve. Haunt is a lot more versatile than people assume, at first blush.
That is one funny, funny card. Even better is the fact that a Star Wars themed set could help but have Enchant Worlds in it. Bravo.
I haven't played the Zelda games after the first two. Is there an in game reason why you decided to give Epona plainswalk? Or was it more for the feeling of forever riding a horse through endless fields of wheat?
Hahaha. I suppoooose it does just about do something. Rather bizarrely, though, this is black enchantment destruction... Not that it could really be any colour other than black!
This was partially inspired by Mirror-Mad Phantasm, by the way.
Yes, I realized the first issue as I was leaving the computer, and I couldn't come back and change it. I'm tempted top leave the second, because it presents an interesting challenge as to what seven cards you can win the game with when down 6 mana. I'm sure there's a combo out there; is this too broken as that enabler?
First stab is Destruction of Alderaan and Strike Me Down. Mostly flavour based cards.
Challenge # 014
I think this barely works within the rules :)
Challenge # 014
Little bit of a cheesy entry, but very thematic :)
quote, better art
Fuunky. Very nice flavour of picking up new skills in the intervening time.
Needs to say "target creature you own", otherwise - why yes, I will shuffle your Primeval Titan into my library, thank you. May also want to say "nontoken", as otherwise this becomes "Search your library for 7 cards, then exile your library".
Haha, no. Of course I chose Zelda! I didn't even think about it.
I know this art is from Twilight Princess, but the actual game I chose is Ocarina of Time.
Yep, fixed. (Hotlinks are tricky to test because they'll be in your cache. If you're using Chrome, Ctrl-Shift-N brings up an incognito window which is one way to check it.)
