For Challenge # 023. Again, the casting cost is forcing my hand into adding a "lose life at beginning of turn" clause. In this case, it's probably a good thing. I like this being a capstone on the other 4 abilities, but if it was just a pure stall, it could lead to some very boring games.
For Challenge # 023.

For Challenge # 023. What I want this card to say is "Whenever a creature taps to attack, put a token creature into play that is a copy of that creature, tapped and attacking. At end of combat, sacrifice that creature", but I can't. This challenge has a casting cost requirement, and that card is just too good for Mana Flare's converted mana cost.
For Challenge # 023, a tight cycle based on Wizened Snitches. I kinda got lucky on getting an adjective-noun name to call a cycle after - and it even had a creature type-subtype.
Wizened Snitches is an uncommon utility creature, of slightly unusual but quite nice effect, that affects all players equally - and at the time had a synergy with clash.
I chose to focus mainly on the clash aspect.
The entries are Sneezing Snitches, Doom Snitches, Guardian Snitches and Wirewood Snitches.
Simple basic optional semi-regeneration on everything. Probably overpowered for an uncommon; but another nice sneaky "Hey, I could use this with clash!"

Handwave suitable wording here (I'm pretty sure the reminder text just isn't true.)
Obviously useful as a "Hey you, your turn, slow down, my reactions are still good though" and "I play weenie, ha ha". So possibly overpowered. But it's main advantage is meant to be during clashes - all your stuff is a bit better (and even lands have cmc1! Though you can't cast them.)
I forgot the P/T!

Considered having this mill both players, also considered having it allow you to sac things instead of top-of-deck for clash (but that's too wordy for this cycle)
So - this. It stuffs up your decks equally - but if you're clashing it lets you get the winning clash back, or stuff up an opponent who kept something nasty.
As a side effect, players will need to learn to remember the bottom few cards of each deck. All in a few deceptively simple and not very useful seeming words.
I like this one.

So, this is the most blatantly 'clashy' of them - it uses the word. It doesn't automatically let you win clashes, it helps your opponent just as much. Dunno, not happy with the directness of this one. It doesn't feel random enough for red, either.

BTW: Just looked what my third card would be Countersquall. Yeesh.
I forgot the P/T!
I suppose not. Extremely nice card though. Unblockable and hard to remove, but not as frustrating as Invisible Stalker.
Hmm. Not really very common...
cough Canopy Cover cough
it's not stompy any more
I've been given Advanced Hoverguard. Will have a ponder about that. 3C, Drone, Evasion + C: Ability for a 2/2. Getting common-ness right is tricky.

Created Mind Boost, Yes, I Do Mind, Mined Terrain and Mind the Webs. (Er, I seem to be letting out my silly side on the naming front.)
Given this experience, I think it might be sensible to allow people to choose a new name with which to reprint the random card they get, so that they can choose a name which allows variations a bit more than many MtG names will.
