There's no real precedence for a color that likes Planeswalkers. I figured that the color that appreciates community and teamwork would be more likely to take this role. There's probably an argument to be made for Blue and/or Green as well, but if I was to imagine any color getting over its differences with its enemy colors, I'd probably pick White.
Plus, white is kinda sorta first in Auras. This kinda sorta feels like a Planeswalker Aura. Well, not really. But you get the idea. White likes to take individuals and equip them with the tools they need.
