Ha. I suppose you're right.
'When' would probably work better than 'if.. instead'. What would it matter if this went to the graveyard?
Funny thing is, you could have gotten away with not including a first line of text. I think that if any of the colors would have gotten this ability, it would have been the color of Skittering Horror.
I applaud this design. It's too easy to accomplish (it may be one of the only cards that makes One With Nothing look good), but the idea is grand.
I created Ephemeral Charging Cell and Wild Rules Change. I'm not sure I succeeded at this challenge, so I might come back to it later.
For Challenge # 024. I guess this isn't really a take on Wild Draw Four so much as a partial imitation of Uno rules.
I know this is wacky, but wacky is interesting, right?
For Challenge # 024. This is almost a straight representation of Telekinetic Charging Cell, though I'm not sure I got the wording right.
I'm least happy with this part of the cycle, since, by the rest of the cycle, it should resist green removal. Unfortunately, I have the problem of not knowing how it should do that. Protection from creatures might make the most sense if I was trying purely to think of a way to defy green removal, but that feels weird both in black and with the rest of the cycle.
I got a few artifacts and cards in cycles before I settled on Vexing Beetle. Hopefully this isn't in a cycle that I missed, because I'm unfamiliar with Legions. Also, since I'm unfamiliar with Legions, I decided to design this cycle in a vacuum and not in relation to what it would have been like in that set.
The rest of the cycle is Prevailing Beetle, Evading Beetle, Conniving Beetle, and Skittering Beetle.
For Challenge # 023.
Thinking of a way for red to oppose white removal was difficult, and I ended up with something reminiscent of Norin the Wary... I guess.
For Challenge # 023.
Originally, this was indestructible, but I didn't quite like the way that fit with the other cards. Also, this fits more nicely in terms of the cycle with the way the colors oppose each other: Green vs. Blue, White vs. Black, Blue vs. Red, Black vs. Green, and Red vs. White.
For Challenge # 023.
For Challenge # 023.
I created Everhome, the Shifting Realm.
For Challenge # 022.
I definitely haven't kept up on the challenges. I hope this feels mythic. Actually, it feels broken. It probably needs a drawback.
Bwahaha! And indeed Nom.
And indeed you do have to feel sorry for poor Will. Not only does he get fired at, but now eaten as well.
This is obviously for Challenge # 025. (I try to have a comment that links back to the parent challenge from every card in this cardset, so it makes a bit more sense when people stumble across these cards in 6 months' time.)
Let's try Fir, eat Will!
